Cycle Brookfield is bringing competitive cycling to Brookfield with the Cycle Brookfield Criterium. As part of the Intelligentsia Cup Series, the Cycle Brookfield Criterium is a one-day, all day event expected to welcome upwards of 1,000 amateur and professional cyclists, and race fans from around the world to Brookfield on Wednesday, July 26, 2023. Cycle Brookfield is seeking volunteers to assist as course marshals to ensure the safety of spectators and direct pedestrian crossing points. We will need 20 volunteers per shift.
When: Wednesday, July 26, 2023 (Starting at 10:00AM, ending @8:30PM)
Where: Volunteers will meet at the LSF Brookfield Public Library parking lot @ Grand and Lincoln.

All volunteers receive:
- Official Volunteer Race T-Shirt
- Drinks and snacks (Graciously donated by the Brookfield Women's Club)

Additional Details:
Dress comfortably with khaki or black pants or shorts, and as appropriate for the weather. As needed, volunteers may be asked to stand for prolonged periods of time. Volunteers must be 16+ years old. All volunteers will be asked to sign a waiver prior to the race day.

There will be a mandatory meeting on Tuesday, July 25th at 6:00p.m..
This will be held at the Village Hall in Brookfield, located at 8820 Brookfield Ave. The meeting will be led by Brookfield police officers. Safety will be of high concern for the riders and spectators.

An email will be sent Monday July 24 to inform you of your time slot and where to receive your marshall position.

Day of Race Racer Parking will be available for racers at the following Locations:
• SE Gross School Parking Lot (3524 Maple Ave, Brookfield, IL
• Tischlers Finer Food Lot (Monroe and Elm Avenue)
• St. Paul Lutheran Church Parking Lot (Park and Grand Avenue)
• Sokol Spirit Parking Lot (Southview and Prairie Avenue)

Day of Race Spectator Parking will be available at the following Locations:
• Village Hall Parking Lot
• Metra Commuter Parking along Brookfield Avenue
• Broadway Avenue street parking Adjacent to Eight Corners

Team Tents are located on Grant Avenue just west of Grand Boulevard.

Gears2You will be sponsoring a family fun ride the day of the event at 6:15 pm before the men's pro ride. Come out with the family and ride the same course as the pros.

Arrive by 5:45PM to the Gears2You station located in the Linda Sokol Francis Public Library to receive your race number. At 6:15PM the Cycle Brookfield Criterium course will be open to ride 1.5 laps.

This event is limited to 300 riders. Register to secure your spot in the race!
